Barrosinha Winery:
Where Tradition Meets
Innovation in Every Sip.

WINERY BARROSINHA
Barrosinha has a rich and engaging history in wine production. We cultivate a variety of white grape varieties, including Arinto, Verdelho, Fernão Pires, Moscatel, Antão Vaz, and Alvarinho, as well as red varieties such as Castelão, Trincadeira, Cabernet, Aragonez, and Alicante Bouschet.
Our estate’s privileged location, situated between the edge of the Setúbal Peninsula and the Alentejo region, gives our wines distinctive characteristics shaped by the diverse microclimates surrounding us.

Our winery is a harmonious blend of modern and traditional methods: we use stainless steel tanks for the fermentation and storage of white wines, while concrete amphoras are used for the fermentation and storage of reds, employing a unique process of remontage. The result is wines of distinct character and superior quality.
In 2019, our winemaking team was revitalized under the leadership of enologist Sara Carapinha, with the support of consultants Frederico Vilar Gomes and Filipe Sevinate Pinto, bringing new life and innovation to Barrosinha wines.
We invite you to visit our winery, discover the winemaking processes and the various stages of creating a wine, taste our wines, and enjoy our tastings, guided by our dedicated enology team. Come and discover the unique flavors of Barrosinha and the passion we put into every bottle. Come and discover the unique flavors of Barrosinha and the passion we put into every bottle.
